Bio of Carolyn Grieco

I became interested in cooking at a very young age –

Inspired by my Mom throwing things together, as well as the great Easy-Bake Oven!  In 1988 I began working at a Massachusetts farm where I learned traditional methods of pie-making and baking.  It was then I made the decision to go to Culinary School.  In 1991 I graduated from Newbury College in Brookline, MA after working an externship at a local North Andover restaurant.  Since graduation I have had many great opportunities including working as a private chef, catering, teaching cooking classes, running a corporate café at a Boston law firm, baking at another local farm stand, and then opening my own country-style bake Shoppe in Middleton.

These experiences have led to my current cooking style…

working with local, seasonal foods to create simple, yet   unique flavors.  Since 2001 Mann Orchards has been home for me, sharing my passion for this cooking style through a “farm to table” approach with food, and by proudly offering the fruits and vegetables each season has to offer.

As a result, the opportunities are endless at Mann’s.  As we move forward, keep your eyes open for something new…whether it’s prepared take-out foods, or old-fashioned pies or baked goods….as we continue to travel through the New England Season together.
